About

I’m Tom Zawadzki, a photographer based in Scotland.
I work with quiet moments, simple forms, and people within the spaces they occupy.Photography is how I look at the world. Slowly. Without explanation. I pay attention to light, structure, and the small gestures that often pass unnoticed.

I’m not interested in spectacle.
I’m drawn to restraint, balance, and tension that feels natural rather than forced. My work moves between portraits, street, and landscape.
Whether I’m walking or working more closely with a subject, I’m always looking for honesty and presence.

Approach / How I Work

I work alone and without a script.
I don’t plan scenes or direct moments.

I walk, observe, and wait.
Light and structure do most of the work.

Editing is minimal.
Mood matters more than perfection.

Print Philosophy

I believe photographs should exist outside the screen.
Printing slows the image down and gives it weight.

My prints are made to last.
Simple papers. Careful production. No excess.

Each piece is intended for quiet spaces and long looking.
